Sandra B. Barone, age 55, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania surrounded by her family. Born January 31, 1959, in Wilmington, Delaware to Richard and Bertha Bennett, Sandy moved with her family to Ottawa Hills, Ohio when she was in high school. As a young teenager she met and began dating Andrew J. Barone, who would become her husband on November 28, 1986.

Sandy graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Early Childhood education and loved working with children. She began and operated several small businesses including a catering company and a children's preschool before the birth of her three sons, John, Andrew and Anthony. A devoted mother and homemaker, she committed her life to raising her sons.

Kind, caring and generous to a fault, Sandra is survived by her sons, John Andrew, Andrew Joseph, and Anthony Burgess Barone; her parents, Richard and Bertha Bennett; brothers, Richard and David (Sue) Bennett, and sister, Terri (Steve) Cheney, as well as her brothers-in-law, Frank( Lisa), John, Philip (Betsy) and Mike (Debbie) Barone, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Sandy was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Andrew Joseph Barone.

Family and friends may visit prior to the funeral services at Gesu Roman Catholic Parish, 2049 Parkside Blvd, Toledo on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to her sons' college fund in lieu of flowers at any 5/3 Bank branch in the "Barone Brothers College Fund", or mail to 550 N Summit St., Toledo, Ohio 43604.
