Sandra Huth Obituary

Sandra "Sandy" Huth

Mother, grandma, and great-grandma, Sandra "Sandy" Huth, 77, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on March 10, from health issues. She passed peacefully surrounded by family who will continue to honor her by reveling in life's pleasures and making memories. Well into her life, Sandy fondly shared stories of her earlier years that included playing basketball for Rosary Cathedral, spending time with her busia, and raising her 4 children. Often she reminisced about the joys of early parenthood: volunteering at her children's school, watching The Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights, and playing music through 45 records. But raising 4 children alone while working two jobs came with struggles. Determined to model perseverance, however, Sandy triumphed with little support and guidance from others through the battles life threw at her. That was a feat that carried much pride for her, and she did it for her family. In later years when she retired, Sandy savored the simplest moments in life such as spending time with family and friends. Dubbed "Paparazzi Grandma," she loved capturing those simple moments for the photo books she gifted the family every Christmas. As an avid painter, she also depicted life through art. She found comfort and joy in painting for others including her doctors, mail carriers, and neighbors. Her generosity continued through cooking, for which she had a knack, and making meals for people brought her such delight. Sandy had a big heart and giving nature. Sandy will be remembered for her strength, generosity, and unconditional love as she cared deeply for those around her.

Sandy is survived by her brother, David Kirsch; her children, Robert Huth, Jim Huth, and David Huth; her grandchildren, Nicole Roytek (Roc), Shelly Belizaire (Donovan), David Schena, Lauren Schmid-Brough (Cobi), and Ady Huth; her great-grandchildren, Austin and Taylor Komorowski, Lily and Gavin Roytek, and Maddux Belizaire; and her beloved dog, Winnie. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Kirsch; and mother, Irene A. (Zawodni) Kirsch; her siblings, Jacqueline and Judy Kirsch; and her daughter, Tammie Huth.

Family and friends are welcome to join a celebration of life on April 6, from 12:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. at State Line Marina, 7330 Perch Drive, Erie, Michigan, 48133. If you would like to send flowers, please also use this address.

My mother was a very strong woman, she was relentless in her passion to make sure her family was always first, in addition, she always defended us no matter what the situation, she was an inspiration to all who really knew the struggles she had, being on her own at 21 years old and 4 kids, she was 21 in 1968, imagine the history of that era and what she had to go through to keep the family together. She was my rock and my inspiration to never give up no matter what life brings. Her unconditional Love for her family was obvious to all that knew her well. I will never give up Mother, I love you and will think about you for the rest of my days, her famous saying "God has a Plan" Love always your son Robbie.......rest is peace mother....
