Shonda Woods-Floyd Obituary
Mrs. Shonda Lee
Mrs. Shonda Lee Woods-Floyd passed away unexpectedly in her South Toledo home, on Friday, September 4, 2015. Shonda graduated from Libbey High School in 1993, and achieved her goal of becoming a registered nurse; graduating from Mercy College of Nursing in 2003.
Her pride and joy were her family and home, and she demonstrated excellence in both with passion. Her husband describes her as his "soul mate." His heart does safely trust in her (Proverbs 31:11). Her children also rise and call her blessed. Her son says of her, "...she was the most beautiful person and greatest Mom, ever." Her daughter says of her, "she was pretty, a fashionista, and strong for others even when she was weak herself" (Proverbs 31:28). Extended family members say of her, "she was always there when she was needed to give support or an encouraging word." Shonda was blessed; a blessing to all.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Damon; son, Damon Lee Floyd II; daughter, Da'Shonda Paris Lee Floyd; she was crowned with a grandson, Israel Eugene Floyd, and a host of others who were lovingly impacted by her life.
Home going services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015, 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, 1401 Hoag St. Toledo, Ohio 43607.
Friends Fellowship will be located at Local 500, 2270 Ashland Ave., Toledo, Ohio 43620.

I just could not believe it when my son Jetuwr, text me from OSU that damon mom had passed, we were both saddened by it as her son and my son are very close, she had a good heart and was always doing nice things for jetuwr so much so, that I had to return the favor the best I could to show my appreciation towards her son too I always admired her class and big heart. My son and I still can't believe she's gone and my daughter Qaadira, as well she said she had just saw shonda...so sad she was so beautiful, and still very young our prayers go out to the floyd family R.I.P Shonda,and with love.

As a former teacher of Shonda's from Libbey High School, I was so saddened to read of her passing. I looked foward to seeing Shonda everyday as she was always smiling and laughing and forever talking about Damon Floyd! She was such a sweet girl and a shining star. My condolences to her family.

She was a virtuous woman, she always kept a smile on her face and always had a joyful spirit!. You couldn't tell if she was bothered by and thing, and I believe that she was an Angel sent from God to be a blessing and a example of love to us, she was my twin and I'm gonna miss her deeply. I know she's watching over us now and is resting in heaven forever with our lord Jesus Christ.

My condolences and prayers of comfort go out to all of the family of Mrs. Shonda Lee Woods-Floyd. Knowing the way she felt about family, sooo very important to her. I was in the 7th grade when I met her. Truly, truly a blessing to have known her. Her personality was as bright as her smile! She will be missed

I am saddened to hear of your loss. I remember Shonda as a little girl growing up next door as I visited. My prayers as well as those of the rest of my family are with you. May God open his arms and accept another one of his angels. Although the time does not seem correct for such a young lady as Shonda, we cannot question his will. Stay strong and remember that our prayers are with you all.
