April 18, 1944 - July 24, 2021
Stanley "Stan" H. Stoler, M.D., 77, of Temperance, MI, died Saturday, July 24, 2021, in The Toledo Hospital. Born April 18, 1944, in Passiac, New Jersey, he was the son of William and Sonia (Orlin) Stoler. He married Lillian "Lolly" Paulssen on December 1, 1972. Stan graduated from the Universidad de Guadalajara Medical School in Mexico. Stan was employed with Mercy St. Vincent medical Center in Occupational Health and Addiction Medicine with the Zepf Center (Sassy Substance Abuse Center). Prior, he was employed as the Medical Director for General Motors in Grand Blanc, Michigan. He was an avid golfer, NRA member and loved spending summers at his cottage in Tawas City, MI.
Stan is survived by his loving wife, Lolly; daughter, Ruth Ann Baker; grandchildren, Jacob and Katie; and sister, Francine Pollock-Stein. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 1, 2021, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 2, 2021 at Eagle Point Cemetery, Rossford, MI. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or H.O.O.V.E.S. (Veterans Organization).
