Sylvia Helen Clarkson Raab, 101, of Whitehouse, OH, died, June 15, 2017 at Elizabeth Scott in Maumee, OH. She was born June 16, 1915 in Toledo, OH to John and Anna (Kester) Hodel. Sylvia worked for 50 years in advertising and accounting for The Toledo Blade. Survivors include son, James (Perri) Clarkson; stepson, Bill (Cheryl) Raab; grandchild, Matthew (Melissa) Clarkson; great- grandchildren, Jameson, Aubrey and Reese; and step-grandchildren, Brenda (Don) Mosley and Gary (Christina) Raab. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James W. Clarkson and Melvin Raab; stepson, Jim Raab; and brothers, Melvin and Irving Hodel. The family would like to thank the staff at Elizabeth Scott Assistant Living 2 and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for all their special care. Services will be private.
