Shane Robertson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home - Whitehouse Chapel on Mar. 5, 2026.
Shane Robertson, age 51, passed away on Tuesday March 3, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. Born on August 20, 1974, he was the cherished son of Bruce Robertson of Whitehouse, Ohio and Sandra Brown of Monclova, Ohio.

Shane married Stacy (Garvey) Robertson, who preceded him in death on April 23, 2023. Together they built a beautiful life and were blessed with their beloved son, Seth Robertson, who resides in Whitehouse.

A proud graduate of Anthony Wayne High School, Shane carried his school spirit with him for life. His passion for sports ran deep, he was a dedicated fan of all things Michigan, the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Pistons, and Detroit Red Wings. He also held a special place in his heart for Penn State football, drawn to their colors which reminded him of his Anthony Wayne roots.

Shane worked as a material coordinator for 25 years at Pilkington Glass, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to lend a hand. Outside of work, he found joy in golfing, attending tractor pulls, and spending countless hours tinkering in his garage. If something was broken, Shane was the one everyone called-he could fix anything.

Above all else, Shane treasured his time with family and friends. His big heart, steady presence, and warm smile made him a beloved part of every gathering.

Shane will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will continue to shine brightly through the many lives he touched.

Along with his beloved parents Bruce and Sandra, and cherished son Seth, he is survived by his step-mother Malinda, brother Sean (Stacy) Robertson of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Shane will be held on Monday March 9, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home located at 6603 Providence St. Whitehouse, Ohio. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 10, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Neapolis Church of Christ located at 8221 Main St. Neapolis, Ohio. An additional visitation period will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at the church. Pastor Ron Shellhammer will officiate. Interment will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery.

Bruce, Malinda, Sandy, and Family

We just want to offer our condolences and prayers for the loss of your son Shane, and friend of many.
I know he would want all his siblings and friends to continue to pass on that love and goodness he gave to his family, and all the people in his life. I pray that God gives you all the spirit of peace and understanding, even though his ways are sometimes hidden from us in our sense of loss. You are all in our thoughts and prayers during these days ahead.

May the Lord let you draw strength from the faith you have.
God bless you all.
Steve and Cindy Toerne

Shane lived across the field from us growing up in Neapolis. His brother Sean and all of us girls and guys hung out together and enjoyed the small town life.
Big hug to you Sean and your family during this time of sorrow.
