Terence Logsdon Obituary
Terence C. "Terry" Logsdon passed away peacefully from this life into the next on February 15, 2023. After a lifetime of service, the last of Emma and Liguori's children rejoined his heavenly family. Terry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary "Jean" (Welter); his parents; and siblings, Mary (stillborn), Vera "Sis", Harold "Buzz", John "Jack", Lloyd, Ward, James "Jim", Joan and Nancy.
He is survived by his children, Monica Steiger, Dianne (Chuck) Huber, and Terence "Terry" Jr. (Rachel); his grandchildren, Robin (Matt) Rodgers, Eric (Tiffany) Steiger, Jessica (Zander Lynn) Logsdon, and Thomas Logsdon; his bonus grandchildren, Makayla Parrish and Hunter Moores; his great-grandchildren, Micah "Caleb" Steiger and Eleanor "Ellie" Steiger; sister-in-law, Beth (Paul) Welter; brothers-in-law, Tom (Sharon) Welter and Tom (Sharon) Shinaver; and more than 50 nieces and nephews.
He is an Air Force veteran, having served in Wiesbaden, Germany during the Korean Conflict. Terry served from 1951 to 1955. He retired from the IRS after more than 25 years of dedicated and dutiful employment. Although a quiet devout Roman Catholic, he was very involved with parish activities at the Church of the Assumption, Mt. Healthy through Eucharistic ministry, volunteering with St Vincent de Paul, membership in the Madonna Council of the Knights of Columbus, and as a member of the parish bereavement committee. He was loved by many and will be missed by all that had the privilege to know him.
Visitation will be held at Neidhard Young Funeral Home, 7401 Hamilton Ave., Cincinnati, OH, on Monday, February 20, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Assumption, 7711 Joseph St., Cincinnati, OH, on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park. If you are so inclined, benevolent contributions may be made in Terry's name to any of the following charities: Archdiocese of Cincinnati, Hospice of Cincinnati and Ohio Veteran's Home Georgetown-SOVHVC Fund.
