Thelma WERNER

WERNER Thelma Thelma L. Werner, age 75, of Toledo, passed away peacefully June 29, 2010, at home surrounded by loving family. She was born January 5, 1935 to Edward and Marie (Naveau) Hall in Toledo. Thelma worked at Goodyear for many years. She was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and doing crafts, but loved nothing more than the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary, Agnes, Phyllis and Lucille and brothers, Bob, Ralph and Ray. Thelma is survived by her caregiver and loving husband of 56 years, John K. Werner, Sr.; children, Angela Sue Werner, John K. Werner, Jr., Denise (Bill) Snider and Robert (Colleen) Werner; grandchildren, Allen (Meghan) Skomer, Paris Werner, Nicole Schmidt, Kristy and Will Snider and Ava, Grace and Zoe Werner; great-grandchildren, Casey, Jacob and Mina Skomer and Chloe Werner; sister, Violet (Bill) Kennedy; sisters-in-law, Natalie Werner and Ida Hall; brother-in-law, Jim Werner; many nieces and nephews and special friends in Florida, Frances, Nancy and Denny. The family will receive guests on Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 2 - 8:00 p.m. at Hoeflinger - Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon with Scripture Services at 7:00 p.m. Prayers will begin Friday at 10:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
