Thelma M. Wood

WOOD Thelma M. Thelma M. Wood of the Point Shoreland Community passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2009, in Point Place Care and Rehabilitation Center, at the age of 82. Thelma was a homemaker and devoted her life to her husband and family. She will always be remembered for all of her love and great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by many. Thelma was preceded in death by parents, Chester and Zannie Elizabeth (Seals) Scalf; husband, Charles Ray Wood (1984); granddaughter, Brandi Sue Wood; brothers, Harold and Everett Scalf and sisters, Doris Strickland and Shirley Kiefer. Left to cherish Thelma's memory are her loving children, Chester R. (Mary) Wood, Scott Lee (Marcie) Wood, Janet (John) Murphy, Kaye (Joe) Burnep and daughter-in-law, Vicky Wood; brother, Elmer Scalf; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Family will receive visitors in the David R. Jasin Funeral Home, Inc., 5300 N. Summit St., (419.726.1583) on Sunday, May 17, 2009, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday, May 18, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Rushton officiating. Interment will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Those wishing to make memorial contributions in Thelma's memory are asked to consider the Alzheimer's Association.
