Thomas Cousino Obituary

COUSINO Thomas Thomas Cousino 41, of Northwood, died Monday, December 10, 2007, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, surrounded by his loving family after a very courageous 2 1/2 year battle with brain cancer. Tom was born on February 15, 1966, in Oregon, OH, to James and Patricia (Sutherland) Cousino. Tom married Lisa (Kontak) in Woodville, OH in 1991. Tom was a maintenance supervisor for fourteen years until he was no longer able to work. Tom was a dedicated family man who enjoyed spending time with his girls and encouraging them to excel in school, soccer, basketball, and cheerleading. Tom also enjoyed taking his '71 Corvette to car shows with his cousin Steve, playing golf with Tuck, watching the Buckeyes with Russ and Rich, watching the Red Wings with Ray and vacationing Up-North at the Egerts. Tom is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Lisa; daughters, Jenna and Nicole; father, Jim; sisters, Jody (Don) Chesher and Jamie Fincher; mother and father-in-law, Neil and Betty Kontak; nieces and nephews, Tara, Dawn (Ben), Erin (Chris) Vandyke, Mike, Josh, Matt, Kurt, Kyle, Kolin, Kaleb; great niece, Marissa; brother and sisters-in law, Kevin (Michelle) Kontak, Chris (Jim) Beeler, and Angie (Craig) Kontak and many cousins. Another special person in Tom's life is Dale "Pep" Noggle. Friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. in Oregon (419) 693-9304, Thursday, December 13, 2007 from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2007, in the funeral chapel. Burial will follow in Williston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider a donation to Jenna and Nicole's college fund, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, or the Northwood Volunteer Fire Department. Special thanks to all our family and friends for their love and support we have received, the Oncology staff at Flower Hospital, Dr. Mowat, Northwood Volunteer Fire Department, Laurel Boyer, John DeBruyne, and the rest of my co-workers. Tom was welcomed into heaven with open arms by his mother Pat, grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.

Lise and girls,
I haven't really gotten to know you very well but am thankful for the times we've spent together and seeing how much you meant to Tom. I remember him as being the cousin who seemed to be in just about every sport in high school, who all my friends druled over, and who's hand-me-down jeans fit better than any girl jeans I could find. I have prayed for all of you much over the last few years and will continue to do so for strength, courage, and peace. He was a good man.

Dear Cousino Family,
You have our deepest symphany for your loss. I remember Tom(Tommy)as the little brother of Jody and Jamie who wanted to follow us around and spy on us with my little brother Mark. They were the babies so we sort of just had to let them.

Dear Lisa,
We were very sorry to hear of Tom's passing.

I believe Tom's personality can be summed up by a character he portrayed in a middle school play we were in. He played "Guy Good The Good Guy". I used to joke with Tom about it quite often, but he truly was one of the Good Guys.

You and the girls will be in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Sincerely,
George and Laura

With sympathies on your loss.
I remember Tom as a kid and hiding with him from his "evil" older sisters while we played Green Hornet in the old car in the back yard.

Dear Lisa, Jenna and Nicole,
We are so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He was a wonderful man with a big heart. It was a pleasure getting to know him, and coaching with him on the soccer field with Clayton and myself. I will always remember him, Clayton and I joking about the Steelers and Browns. An we will especially remember when we would be coaching and the Clayton and I would be listening to the Steelers games on the radio and Tom would be listening to the Browns game. Girls just remember how proud your dad was of you. You could see the sparkle in his eyes when he would watch you. Again we are so sorry for your loss.

To my favorite brother, Tom. I miss you so much, there are no words in any language to describe the feeling. I only hope in time that it becomes more bearable. Now you can take care of Mom, and we will see you one day. Your "favorite" sister, Jody

Tom and Family:
Tom was a gentle and caring friend that brought a smile to our faces.

His athletic abilities gave the rest of our track members goals to reach for; and his everlasting spirit helped cheer us on to the finish line.

We have been blessed God shared
Tom with us as a Community and Team Leader, School Mate, and a Dear Friend...he will truly be missed by those that he touched through out the years.

Knowing how he was in school and beyond is only a sentiment to his
strong morals, beliefs, and family ties.

Good families create great family men, which he was destine to be.
Memories of his relationship with his Mother serves me well.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family as they remember and cherish you always.

May God Bless You and Your Family-Friend...

I was so sorry to hear about Tom's passing. One of my first grade school crushes was on Tommy. I had the same reading class as him when he was in 4th grade. I would be so nervous when Mrs Donnell called on me to read out loud, because I wanted Tommy to think I was a good reader. Tom was one of the nice men, I am truly blessed to have known him. My prayers go out to Tom's family and friends.

Tom, I will never forget our track days. We all always laid on the high jump landing mat and laughed together. We were all so competitive and were a great team!

You are an inspiration to your classmates and family. Our class will always be close and the class of 84 will miss you deeply!

GOD BLESS YOU MY FRIEND!
