Tracy Kern Obituary

Tracy E. Kern

It is with deepest sadness that our family shares the passing of Tracy E. Kern (Thomsen) December 30, 1956- December 15, 2021.

It is with love that we share what made her extraordinary. Alongside her husband of 47 years Ralph W. Kern II (Spud), anything she wished to do she did, anywhere they wished to go they went, they raised two wonderful sons, Cameron Viggo Kern, and Clifford T. Kern with his fiance Jessica C. (granddaughter Ceceillia S. and future grandson Odin K.( FEB '22));and Jack the dog.

A life long resident of point place, Tracy loved living on the lake watching both the sun and moon rise over the water. She loved boating, especially to see the fireworks both downtown and at Shoreland where being on the water offered a front row seat. She also looked forward to the times she went out fishing; catching cleaning and cooking whatever the catch. She loved camping out on the beaches of bay point where she would gaze up into the stars, and wander the beaches looking for artifacts and lucky stones, but laying in the sun sipping a beverage was her favorite.

At home she was a dynamo cultivating roses and tending a diverse vegetable garden (especially tomatoes) outside, while inside she flexed her green thumb on a wide selection of exotic plants. The rest of her household kingdom praised her for the many delectable delights she would conjure in the kitchen, and the masses would wait patiently during Christmas to see if they were on her list for cookies; the making of which kept her very busy the entire month of December.

She took several trips around the country with her family, camping along the way. Twice she hiked the grand canyon, spending the night at the bottom a few times.

She lived life on her own terms. She was fierce and humble. Everyone who had the chance to meet her were made better for the experience.

Tracy was a wonderful person, we grew up together in church, school and when we were younger had many good memories. Spud was the love of her life and would do anything for each other. God Bless to the family and friends at this sad time.
