Un Zipfel Obituary

ZIPFEL Un Suk "Mimi" Kang Un Suk "Mimi" Kang Zipfel of Sylvania, Ohio passed away early Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at University of Michigan Medical Hospital surrounded by her family after a brief illness with liver cancer. She was born on July 24, 1935, in Masan, South Korea. Circumstances brought her to Sylvania, Ohio where she remarried and was a homemaker. She loved gardening and her proudest moment was when she became an American Citizen in February of 1984 after many months of studying. She was a member of All Nations Community Church on Hill Ave. Her greatest joy was spending time with her 4 grandchildren. She was an active part of their daily lives and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Robert Zipfel; daughter, Janna Ciboro; son-in-law, Douglas Ciboro and her 4 grandchildren, Ronald Scott Ciboro, Caitlyn Marie Ciboro, Coryn Marie Ciboro and Jacquelyn Mary Ciboro. She is also survived by 4 stepchildren. Family and friends may visit on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers she asked that memorial contributions be made to All Nations Community Church or to The Korean Association of Greater Toledo. Contributions can be mailed to PO Box 351701, Toledo, Ohio 43635. We wish to thank all the Doctors and Nurses from SICU at the University of Michigan Medical Hospital. We would also like to thank all her friends, family and church for their support and prayers during her illness. Condolences may be sent to www.walkerfuneralhomes.com
