Vincent Curtis Obituary
Vincent John Curtis, 65, passed away on Saturday July 28th surrounded by his family. Vince was the son of Robert and Genevive Curtis, brother to Robert and James. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, his brother James, and his son Charles. Vince and the light of his life Connie, just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. His greatest pride were his children, Michael (Eva), Gregory, Christi Ansberg (Todd), Kelly Biggs (Collin), Charles, Andrew Velker (Erica); and grandchildren, Malia, Elise, Aidan, Bre, Hailey, Averi, Jacob, Harper, and Crew.
Vince grew up in Lambertville, Michigan. He attended Bedford High School, and College at Lourdes University. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for six years. He was a plant manager at Toledo Technologies for most of his life, and was a corporate director of program management at Ice Industries. Vince enjoyed many years of hunting and fishing with his boys, and cruising the Lake Erie Islands on his boat "Papa's Dream" with his family. Vince and his bride Connie, enjoyed many years hosting friends and family in Fort Myers Florida. His beloved children and grandchildren loved coming over for Chef Papa's dinners, especially the famous perch fry. Family and friends will remember Vince most for the kind hearted gentleman they knew and loved.
Visitation will held at Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue on Tuesday, July 31 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., where a prayer service will commence at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to ProMedica Toledo Children's Hospital. When we started playing Bocce Ball at Waterside a few years ago, we only had 1 scoreboard. Vince stepped up and made 2 more scoreboards. See picture below.
He will be missed and will be remembered everytime we play Bocce.
You will always be remembered.
