Viola Hatfield Obituary

HATFIELD Viola M. Viola M. Hatfield, age 71, of Northwood, Ohio, died Sunday, August 2, 2009, at Bay Park Community Hospital. She was born on December 30, 1937, in Whitley, Co., Kentucky to H.D. and Ona (Raines) Lawson. She married Dallas M. Hatfield. Viola was a member of Old Fashion Missionary Baptist Church in Toledo and attended Athens Missionary Baptist Church in Walbridge. She is survived by her loving husband, Dallas; daughter, Deborah (Simey) Compton of Curtice; grandchildren, Savannah and Nathan Compton; siblings, Charity (Clarence) Siler, Charles (Bessie) Lawson, Calvin (Marjorie) Lawson, Jerry Paul (Joyce) Lawson all of Williamsburg, KY, John (Rosemary) Lawson of Toledo, Melinda (Thomas) Monhollen of Temperance, MI, Robert (Darlene) Lawson of Toledo and Isaac (Pamela) Lawson of Monclova. She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Ken Siler. Friends will be received on Thursday, August 6, 2009 from 2-9 p.m. in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St., Walbridge 43465 (419-666-3121), where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
