Wayne Tuckerman Obituary
Wayne Daniel Tuckerman, 91, of Traverse City, Michigan, formerly of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Munson Hospital. He was born to Thomas and Elsie (Swartzlander) Tuckerman on May 24, 1931 in Spur, Texas. He always told the story that per his sister he was delivered by a Texas Ranger.
The family moved back to Fremont, Ohio when he was two years old. Wayne graduated from Fremont Ross High School and Tiffin University. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
On September 1, 1954, he was married to Jean "Teansie" Foos who was the girl next door.
The majority of his career was with the City of Perrysburg, Ohio including Tax Commissioner, City Clerk and ending his career as the Director of Finance.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; and their daughter, Kathy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, John, Kenneth, Raymond, Donald, Robert, Monica (Claycomb), June (Curtin), Thomas and Wanda (Robinett).
A simple cremation has taken place. No funeral or memorial services will be held. Memorials may be made to the Munson Healthcare Foundation for Munson Medical Center where they took such good care of Wayne in the last week of his life or the Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes where he loved to hike the trails and walk the beaches.
