William Corrello Obituary

CORRELLO

William Dean

William Dean Corrello, 82, passed from this life into God's arms on October 14, 2013, surrounded by his

loving wife and daughters at Northwest Ohio Hospice. Bill was born on February 3, 1931, to Irene and Clarence Corrello, who predeceased him. He also survived his four brothers, Jim, Chuck, John and Ronnie, along with his baby sister, Marilyn.

Bill was a graduate of the 1949 class of DeVilbiss High School and graduated from the University of Toledo, where he had a prominent football career and many good memories with his fellow classmates. Following graduation, he entered the U.S. army and served during the Korean War. Upon

returning home, he began his 30 year career as a pharmaceutical sales rep with a

leading company. He was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, serving on Counsel, the building committee and call committee. Bill loved watching football, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a loyal and devoted fan to college football. His deep devotion to God, his family, and his love for football, along with his amazing sense of humor is what carried him through and gave him strength when dealing with Macular Degeneration, Scleritis, and his battle with cancer. One of Bill's great missions was helping others to find a life of sobriety. He was a sponsor, in AA, to countless men in the Toledo area and they are grateful for his dedication and support.

His family will be forever proud of his strength and grace. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, whom he was married to for 49 years, and his daughters, Lisa and Jamie. Also surviving are special sons-in-law, Neal and Dave. The lights of his life are his many

grandchildren, Katie, Jenna, Brady, Lindsey, Steven, Rachel, Aaron, Jonathan, Daniel, Connor and Jacob. His death leaves a palpable void in his family, which is relieved in the knowledge that he is in the arms of God, watching over us.

There will be a private burial, with a Memorial Service for family and friends on Saturday, October 19, 2013, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 112 W. Wayne Maumee, Ohio at 11:00 a.m. Family will greet guests beginning at 10:00 until service time. No flowers, please. Memorial contributions are suggested for

Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Cherry Street Mission, or St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Maumee. Arrangements by Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home. Online condolences may be shared with the family at

My prayers have been with all of you and will continue to be so... except of course for Bill... he's wonderful and in the presence of our Lord and others who have gone before. What a beautiful obituary too! Rest in the promises of Jesus, that is where true peace is!
Love, Gretchen

Dear Barb, Jamie, Lisa, and loving family members of Bill. Amy and I are so thankful that we visited with you just recently and were able to embrace Bill and feel the warmth of his love, the faith and trust that he had in his Lord Jesus Christ, and the tremendous smile and sense of humor that was omnipresent. He definitely fought the good fight with courage and hope in the Resurrection Victory and Eternal Life won for us through Jesus Christ, and now claimed by Bill through his faith and testimony. We felt the Spirit of God present in our prayer circle that day, and we knew that Bill was in the Hands and Care of his Heavenly Father until He called him Home. Bless you Barb for all of your caregiving and love that you extended so graciously to your beloved husband. Our prayers and love go out to all of you as you grieve the loss of Bill, whose memory will live forever in your hearts until that day when we shall all be reunited. The Schroeders(Dave, Mark, Shannon, Cameron, and Carson) and the Gehringers(Amy, Jerry, Amanda, and Kylie)

Barb, Lisa, & Jamie, My sympathy in Bill's passing, yet rejoice in his "homegoing". He was one of the really good guys we in the industry had the pleasure to learn from. May God bless and comfort you all.

Mrs. Corrello, Lisa & Jamie, I am so sad to hear of Mr. Corello's passing. As you go through the next few days, weeks, months....may the wonderful memories bring a smile to your faces. Although I have not seen him in years, I remember a man who was always smiling and happy to see any of us who hung around "back in the day." Love you guys! Prayers for you all!

Barb, Lisa, Jaimie and families: My deepest condolences in your loss. Bill's obit is a beautiful tribute to his life, what he accomplished and more importantly who was important to him...all of you. Your loss is enormous. By focusing on all the good memories you've shared with him will help you during this sad time. Unfortunately, I'm in FL & won't be able to attend his memorial service.
