William Pohlmeyer Obituary
William "Bill" C. Pohlmeyer, Sr., age 74, of Toledo, OH, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Regency Hospital. Bill was born to Donald and Rose (Kindrich) Pohlmeyer on December 31, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio. Bill was a 1968 graduate of Penta Vocational School and Rossford High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After his discharge from the Navy, he worked at Libbey Glass in Rossford until he got his dream job as a semi-truck driver for Central Transport and Keystone Foods both in Toledo. Bill enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing, The Ohio State University Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and Cleveland baseball.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and his twin, Robert. He is survived by his life partner, Lynda M. Kurucz; his sons, William (Mae) Pohlmeyer, Jr. of Wakeman, Ohio, and Jason Pohlmeyer of Columbus, Ohio; brother, John Pohlmeyer of Toledo; sisters, Mary (Mike McClain) of Perrysburg, Loretta (Tom) Radar of Rossford and Sharon (Mark) Worthan of Baytown, Texas. Many nieces, nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews also survive him.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 23, 2023, at the VFW Post 606 Hall, 3005 W. Laskey Road, Toledo from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Food and drink will be provided.
