William Schuck Obituary

William F. "Bill" Schuck

William F. "Bill" Schuck, 68, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 in his Waterville, Ohio home. He was born in Toledo on April 25, 1953 to Nancy and Edwin Schuck.

Bill was a graduate of the University of Michigan, class of 1975 where he was a student and wrestling champion. He was employed as an electrician through Local 8 IBEW and worked at RMF Nooter prior to his retirement. He was a wine enthusiast, nature and dog lover, liked hiking, bird watching, fishing, reading, debating, and all things Michigan, especially football. As a season ticket holder, Bill enjoyed nothing more than taking family and friends to basketball and football games at The Big House. He was an avid lover of music, creating a soundtrack to his life.

Bill will be remembered as a witty, modest, honorable, loving man with a presence larger than life; you always knew when he was in the room. He was a generous leader of men, and so very proud of his family.

He is survived by his loving family: wife, Karen Lee Sirum; children, Sara (Mark) Frommeyer, Katie (Jason) Clarke-Stumbo, Joe (Megan) Schuck; grandchildren, Chloe, Reagan, Jack, Olivia, and Willa; mother, Nancy Schuck; step-children, Celia Sirum Connolly, and Fiona Sirum Connolly; sisters, Denise Rolling, Diane LaGesse, Debbie (Jeff) Crowther; and dog, Ruger. He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin.

His family wishes to extend special thanks to the kind and personal care from everyone at the Rogel Center at the University of Michigan, and Elara Caring hospice for the excellent support he received.

Friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 1:00-8:00 p.m. at the Glass City Pavilion at Glass City Metropark, 983 Front St., Toledo Ohio, 43605. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Audubon Society, www.audubon.org. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ansberg-West Funeral Directors, 419-472-7633. Bills father Skip would beam with joy when talking about his son. Always appreciated his honesty and concern for the electrical industry.

I met Bill back in the early 1990's where we both became fascinated with white water kayaking. We traveled together to places like Pennsylvania and West Virginia to pursue this common interest we shared and to challenge ourselves with what the rivers had to offer. The love we had for the outdoors built and strengthened the relationship between us. Bill's willingness to explore new adventures, his good nature, kindness and witty humor are the things I remember most. Bill, you will be missed!

Schick Family, as everyone who new Bill will say, he was a lot of fun. Bill was on a lot of our RMF Boilermaker projects wearing many hats. We always told him he was an honorary Boilermaker. Loved this guy. Peace to everyone and God Bless
