William T. Voegeli

VOEGELI William T. William T. Voegeli passed away Sunday, September 9, 2007, in his home after a long illness. Bill was born October 2, 1927, to Emil and Cecelia (Carroll) Voegeli. Bill attended Central Catholic and Macomber High Schools. He went to work at an early age for his dad, Emil Voegeli Sheet Metal. In 1958, after their dad passed away he and his brothers started Voegeli Brothers Heating & Air Conditioning. In the 70's Bill worked by himself at Voegeli Sheet Metal, retiring in 1992. Bill served in the United States Navy from 1945-1946 on the U.S.S. Maryland. He married Jean O'Boyle in 1946 and they were married for 61 years on February 4, 2007. Bill was an avid sportsman. He was a lifetime member of Adams Conservation Club, an over 50 year member of Sheet Metal Workers Association and a long time member of the North American Swiss Alliance Society. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Emil; brothers, Donald and Fred "Fritz"; sisters, Barbara Fowls and Marilyn (Ed) Lee. He is survived by his wife, Jean; son, Timothy, Kettering, OH and daughter, Susan (Beattie) DeLong, Deerpark, IL; grandchildren, Tony, Bill (Cari) Voegeli, Jenny (Jim) Jones; daughter-in-law, Sue Voegeli; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Jimmy and Allison Jones; sister, Sandra (Robert) Lewis as well as nieces and nephews. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. The funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church where the family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Charles Borromeo Church, Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
