Willis R. McLane

Willis R. McLane, 90, of Walbridge, OH, on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. He was born July 27, 1931 to Jess and Mae Ruth (Shively) McLane in Findlay, OH. Willis served in the US Army during the Korean War. He later married the love of his life, Maybelle, and together they raised their family. Willis worked for many years as a locomotive engineer for CSX, retiring in 1988 after 35 years of service. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and cutting grass at the church.

Willis leaves behind his wife, Maybelle; his children, Bonnie (Marvin), Terry, and Douglas (Casandra); his 9 grandchildren; and his 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Amanda; his father, Jess; his mother, Mae Ruth; his brother, Charles; and his sister, Mary.

A memorial service will be held at Spirit and Truth Church, 525 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH, on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel.
