age 54, passed away on August 25, 2014. He was born March 3, 1960 to the late Ernest and Mayola Hinze in Navasota, TX. Carlos graduated from Conroe High School in 1978. He lived large, enjoyed life, and had a huge heart. He was often fondly referred to as "teddy bear". Carlos was a member of the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church.
Carlos was preceded in death by his stepfather, Sam Pennington; grandmother, Hilda Abke; and mother-in-law Thelma Simmons. He is survived by his wife, Mattie; son, Sam and wife Mindy; daughter, Pam and husband Cody; grandchildren, Brock, Hunter, Zoee, Jordan, Samantha, Keiton, Kelsey, KK, Keylee, and Kolby; sister, Connie Hoisington and husband Ron; sister, Cathy Sturm; brother-in-law, Lloyd Ranels, Jr.; aunt, Gerry Henderson; sisters-in-law, Pattie Hite and husband Chester, Paula Eldridge, Mary Gordon, and Sue Crawford and husband Jesse; nephews, Kyle and Dustin; and numerous relatives and friends.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6pm until 9pm on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Eickenhorst Funeral Services, 1712 N. Frazier Ste. 115, Conroe, TX 77304. The funeral service will be held at 10am on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Montgomery United Methodist Church, 22548 Texas 105, Montgomery, TX 77356 with a graveside service immediately following at Smith Memorial Park, 10129 FM 1097 Rd W, Willis, TX 77318. Serving as pallbearers are Mike Elledge, Bobby Simmons, Kyle Shane, Big Boy Daughtery, Chester Hite, Adrian Twiddy, Mike Hite, Andrew Long, and Jason Abke. Honorary pallbearers are Cody McClelland and Sam Pennington. Those wishing to post tributes to the family may do so at www.eickenhorstfuneral.com.
