Ida Reed Obituary

Ida Von Reed, one hundred and three year old Okmulgee resident, passed away at her home on Sunday, November 14, 2021. She was born November 8, 1918 in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma to Arthur and Bessie (Tittle) Wadley. Ida married Russell Harold Reed. They moved to Pasadena, Texas with his job in 1949, returning to Okmulgee in 1983 to retire. She was a member of Second Baptist Church.

Ida will be remembered for the love she had for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and siblings, Vera Hurt, Bill Wadley, Joseph Wadley, and Bob Wadley.

Survivors include her children, Carol Thomas and husband Glen and Danny Reed, grandchildren, Danny Reed and wife Joeley, Holly Mikes and husband Anthony and Heather Thomas, great grandchildren, Allie Mikes, Jake Mikes and Cheyenne Reed and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the Okmulgee Cemetery.
