Veola Isabelle Williams TRENTON - Veola Isabelle Williams, 82, left this world on March 1, 2016 to be with the Lord. She was born 8-12-33 to Maxwell Major Mann and Viola Starling Mann. She was affectionately known as “Vee”. She was the youngest of eight children (Jewell, Idella, Louise, Beulah, Robert, Helen and Doris). She attended high school at Hamilton High School West. She matriculated at Howard University and worked in the Washington, DC area. She returned to Trenton and married Leon Daniel Williams in 1954. From this union, two daughters, Theresa Adele and Leona Marie were born. The marriage ended in divorce several years later. Vee was a wonderful mother, encourager and a strong woman of faith that loved the Lord. She was a member of Westside Bible Baptist Church (Pastor Tyrone Perkins) in Trenton. She will always be adored for the many sacrifices she made for her family throughout the years. After her children were grown, Vee earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education from Rider College. Over the years, she worked for the State of NJ as an Administrative Secretary, as a Business Education teacher, and lastly in the Board of Education before retiring. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maxwell and Viola Mann, all her siblings, niece Doris Mann, nephew Tendaji Ganges, and husband Leon Williams. Vee leaves behind two daughters (and two sons), Theresa Mack MD (Jason Mack MD) and Leona Cammock MD (Charles Cammock MD), six grandchildren - Seshat Mack, Djoser Mack, Ma’at Mack, Ethelin Cammock, Hiley Cammock, and Grant Cammock; several nieces and nephews - Sheri Van Dyke, Schuyla Van Dyke, Carlton Boujai(Saundra), Dacene Layne, Cornell Boujai, Gretchen Boujai, Robert Mann(Shunda), Nathan Mann, Dr.Valerie Mann Jiles(Melvin), Laurence Ganges(Brenda), Kelvin Ganges(Jerlene),Gail Ganges; Dr. Thelma Napoleon-Smith(Marcellus), Ronald Whortenberry, several cousins and countless friends. Vee will be remembered forever in our hearts and never forgotten for her strength, love, and ever-giving spirit. A Memorial service will be held 3pm on March 19, 2016 at the Hughes Funeral Home 324 Bellevue Ave Trenton, NJ to celebrate her life.
