John Bramson Obituary

John Peters Bramson

May 23, 1942 - December 30, 2024

John was born in 1942 to Elvina (Peters) and Melvin Bramson. He passed away December 30, 2024, at the New Horizons Care facility in Lovell, Wyoming.

The Bramson family has lived in Casper going back four generations. John was born in Casper with his brother Roger. John attended McKinley elementary school and graduated from Natrona County High School. He and his brother both served in the Army Reserves before taking civilian jobs and marrying.

John met his wife, Marie in 1965. They were married on March 7, 1966. They had three children, Kimberley, Daniel, and Paul. John was a dedicated father, a loving husband, and a proud grandpa.

He learned engine mechanics with his father Melvin, and was a well known street racer with his Plymouth Belvedere. John drove his Mopar to winning trophies in stock car racing. He hung up his racing keys with the birth of his children starting in 1966.

John enjoyed collecting Hemi engines, restoring big block engines, and collecting American muscle cars. He enjoyed vacationing with his family which included trips to Mexico, Canada, and nearly every state in the U.S.A.

John built a career around investing in real estate and property management. He was the general contractor of his dream home in Casper and proudly built his home with his own two hands, along with contractor brothers, Vern and Herb. He retired to Frannie, Wyoming to be near his wife's sister Dixie.

He is survived by his wife Marie, and his brother's wife Kay, as well as his daughter "Kimmy" (Chris), his son Dan (Christine), and his four grandsons Niko, Paul, Zane, and Ethan.

He was preceded in death by his brother Roger, his son Paul, and his parents.

Services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Deaver, Wyoming followed by a Military Honor guard at the Lovell cemetery on January 11, 2025. Remembrance reception will be provided by the members of the Frannie community at the Town Hall immediately following. Cards and letters can be sent c/o Marie Bramson. PO Box 282 Frannie, WY 82423.

Marie and family, I am so sorry for your loss. John will always be in my memory as a youngster. I remember helping him with his rental houses around town and making trips to the dump. Your time living next door to us as children will always be remembered as some of the most memorable. My prayers are with you all as you mourn his loss.
