M. Marnell Obituary

Sr. M. Thomas Marnell, 77, of Elizabeth Township, died Saturday, August 7, 2010, in Divine Redeemer Motherhouse in Elizabeth Township. Born August 26, 1932, in Clairton, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Alma Bell Marnell. She was a Professed Religious Sister of the Divine Redeemer for 58 years. She received a Food Service Certification and was a food service manager. She was an excellent cook, master baker, artistic decorator and enjoyed nature and good music. She also received a ?Citizen?s Award? from Darby, Pa. She is survived by a brother, Gene (June) Marnell of Clairton; stepbrother Justin Perticone; nieces Sandy Pastore and Karen Bonney; and nephew Gene Marnell. She was preceded in death by brothers Alvin and Erman Marnell; and a niece, Rosemarie Marnell. Friends will be received today from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Divine Redeemer Motherhouse in Elizabeth Township and Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the Divine Redeemer Motherhouse Chapel with the Rev. Father Thomas Kirby and the Rev. Father Edward Litavec officiating. Burial will be in Divine Redeemer Cemetery in Elizabeth Township. Funeral Arrangements are by Daniel F.
