Richard A. Lopez

Richard A. Lopez passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, in Orlando, Fla. He was born Sept. 19, 1954, in Pittsburgh, to the late Dom and Bernice Lopez, of West View, Rich leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Carole (McAfee) Lopez. He is survived by his son, Scott Lopez, of Orlando; daughters, Elizabeth Thompson (Ryan), of Iowa, and Kelly Lopez and her son, Emmitt, of Mississippi. Survivors also include his sisters, Lois Merlino (Chuck), Barb O'Lare (Mike), Diane "DD" Guenther (George), and Janet (Fred) Latini, all of Pittsburgh. He also leaves behind his greatly loved dog, Domino. Rich is also survived by many nieces and nephews, who loved him more than he would ever know, and who always made them laugh. Rich was an excellent baseball/softball player in his younger years, and he loved watching Steelers football and spending time with family. Special thanks to his wife Carole who took great care of Rich during his illness. May he rest in peace and his memory be eternal.
