John Weinzierl Obituary

John Weinzierl, 96, of Emsworth, went to be with his beloved wife Gracie B. Wills Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010. Born June 23, 1914, he was the son of the late John Weinzierl and Bertha Schleich. He was the loving father of Richard (Audrey) Weinzierl; grandfather of Jeanne Weinzierl, Linda (George) Groff, Amy Dillon, Steven (Barbara) Weinzierl and Cheryl (Kevin) Wright; and great-grandfather of Nicki and Jaime Jimenez, Adam and Lauren Groff, Jimmy and Ellie Wright and Michael, Katie and Allison Weinzierl. John enjoyed polka dancing with Gracie on Friday nights. He and Gracie opened their home to support many family members over the years and will be remembered by friends and family as an energetic, hardworking and caring man. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at ORION C. PINKERTON FUNERAL HOME INC., 1014 California Ave., Avalon, 412-466-5600. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Church, Emsworth. In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity. www.pinkertonfuneralhome.net.
