Albert F. Zajdel

1935 - 2025

Albert F. "Pete" Zajdel, 90, of Greensburg, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025. He was born on Feb. 17, 1935, in Greensburg, the son of the late Albert and Violet (Houck) Zajdel. Pete was a faithful member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Youngwood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Catherine (Harr) Zajdel; his son, Michael Zajdel; his brother, Donald Zajdel; and his sister, Angie Lunn. Pete is survived by his children, Fran Zajdel of Greensburg and Leon Zajdel; and his wife, Marcy, of Greensburg. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jacob and Julianne; and his sister, Dolores Johnson, of Youngwood. The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Mountain View Senior Living for the excellent caregiving to Pete over this last year. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., in the C. RICHARD MCCAULEY FUNERAL HOME INC., 101 S Fourth St., Youngwood. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 28, at 1 p.m. in the St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 126 N. Fourth St., Youngwood, with Pastor Peter Nordby officiating.
