Aubrey Frantz Obituary

Aubrey Nicole Frantz, 5, of Chambersburg, Pa., passed away unexpectedly Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, at Hershey Medical Center, following a courageous five-year battle with Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency. Born June 5, 2013, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of Benjamin A. and Shana Murphy Frantz. Aubrey was attending kindergarten at South Hamilton Elementary School, where she enjoyed cheerleading for the Hamilton Jaguars. She was active with cheerleading and gymnastics at Wilson College. She loved everyone and enjoyed spending time with her many friends. Aubrey was a "little mother" to others and liked babies and Barbie dolls. She attended Marion First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brothers, Gavin Benjamin Frantz and Gage Arnold Frantz; maternal grandparents, Floyd and Teri Murphy "Mimi"; paternal grandparents, Ted and Carmie Frantz "NaMaw"; her aunts and uncles, Brian Frantz, Megan and Chris Delisi and Josh and Melissa McAteer and baby Jenna. She is also survived by her maternal great-grandmothers, Kathryn Murphy and Connie Sechrist; her paternal great-grandmother, Patricia Insana; very close family friends, Roy and Kathy Getic; and numerous great-aunts and great-uncles, cousins and friends. Aubrey was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandfather, Peter Insana, paternal great-grandparents, Arnold and Helen Frantz, maternal great-grandfathers, Donald Murphy Sr. and Harry Sechrist. Aubrey will always be Daddy and Mommy's Little Princess.
Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, in Marion First United Methodist Church, Marion, Pa. Pastors Brent Stouffer and Chris Renner will officiate. Interment will be at Lincoln Cemetery in Chambersburg. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, at THOMAS L. GEISEL FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, and from 11 a.m. until noon Friday at the church.
The family would like to thank their many family and friends, the Pennsylvania State Police, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Hershey Children's Hospital and Marion First United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions in Aubrey's memory may be made to Marion First United Methodist Church, 94 Colorado St., Marion, PA 17235.
