Carol A. Carilli

Carol Ann (Conroy) Carilli, 82, of Lower Burrell, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025, in East End Health and Rehabilitation, Pittsburgh. She was born in Pittsburgh on Aug. 26, 1943, to the late Arthur L. Conroy Jr. and Dorothy A. Schultis Conroy and had been a resident of Lower Burrell since moving from Ohio in 1969. Mrs. Carilli was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell, and worked as a registered nurse for the VA Medical Centers in Highland Park and Aspinwall. She had also worked at Belair Nursing Home in Lower Burrell. She enjoyed bowling, ladies' card club, couples' card club, and volunteering to help people in need. Above all else she loved horseback riding, being a nurse, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jack J. Carilli; son, John C. (fiancee Lori) Carilli, of Lower Burrell; three grandchildren, Anthony, Isabella, and Gianna Carilli; three siblings, Mike (Donna) Conroy of Wentzville, MO, Dorothy (Harry Bird) Conroy of Pittsburgh, and Colleen Conroy of Albemarle, NC; and daughter-in-law, Brigitte Carilli of New Kensington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Phillip Arthur Carilli. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, at RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road, at Alder St., where prayers of transfer will be said at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, followed by a Christian funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church.
