David Harkcom Obituary

David H. Harkcom, 61, of Acme, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. He was born Dec. 17, 1951, in Connellsville, a son of the late Donald and Margaret Wolk Harkcom. Mr. Harkcom was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant Area High School, class of 1969. He was employed by ABB Power Systems and he was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, Acme. He is survived by his wife, Trudy May Harkcom; two children, Michelle Kenning and her husband, Kevin, of Jones Mills, and Brad Harkcom, of Donegal; and three brothers, Richard Harkcom, of Irwin, Dennis Harkcom and his wife, Linda, of Burelson, Texas, and Donald Harkcom and his wife, Cindy, of Hagerstown, Md. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant brother, Brian Keith Harkcom. Friends were received in the CLYDE BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., corner of Municipal Building Road and Route 711, Melcroft, where services were held with the Rev. Paul Freidhof officiating. Interment followed in the Donegal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Calvary United Methodist Church, 328 Calvary Church Road, Acme, PA 15610, in memory of David H. Harkcom.
