Diana Deal Obituary

Diana Jean Deal (nee Zell, formerly Taylor), 78, of Cape Coral, FL, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025. The daughter of Clifford and Mary Louise Zell, Diana was born on June 18, 1947, and attended Wilkinsburg H.S. and Mansfield State College. She taught home economics at Midland Borough School District, ran a daycare center in her home in Greensburg. She earned her real estate license and worked for Lenape Realty (Ford City). Always known as a great cook and the life of the party, Diana was devoted to service and faith. She was a deaconess and former board member at First Christian Church in Greensburg, past worthy matron for the Greensburg chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Lady's Oriental Shrine of North America. As a former King Lion of the Manor Township chapter of the Lion's Club and passionate hockey mom, she was noted for her prolific raffle ticket sales. She is survived by her husband, George Thomas Deal; her son, Brett Taylor; her brothers, David, Warren, and Timothy Zell; and her nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, at First Christian Church, Greensburg. Diana was a life long friend and someone I always looked up to and respected. She was responsible for getting me into Rainbow Girls. We lived in the same neighborhood in Wilkinsburg. I will greatly miss her. Condolences to her entire family.
