Elizabeth Klimchock

Elizabeth "Betty" Klimchock, 85, of North Huntingdon, passed away on Sept. 14, 2025, at Forbes Hospital, Monroeville. Betty was the loving daughter of the late Michael and Mary Ann Klimchock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her special brother, Michael (Barbara) Klimchock. Betty was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church. She attended North Huntingdon High School and the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to her retirement, Betty was administrative director at the Maurice Falk Medical Fund. She served as a board member on many nonprofit organizations in the areas of health, human services, and community activities in the City of Pittsburgh and County of Allegheny. Betty was involved in the early years of development of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, and she served on its board as a volunteer and supporter over the years. She also served on the Executive Committee of the Executive Women's Council. Betty enjoyed traveling, photography, ceramics, and following current events. She exemplified kindness and lived by her favorite saying: "Live Well, Laugh Often, and Love Much." Her legacy of nurturing her family and friends, and memories of her giving heart will always be cherished by her surviving family: loving special sister and best friend, Veronica; caring and special brother-in-law, Hank Laughlin; and devoted and caring nephew, Matthew Laughlin. Betty is also survived by her nieces, Marianne and Michelle Klimchock; her goddaughter, Catherine Beyer; and special cousins. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Betty's life from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, at JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 410 Sixth St., McKeesport. PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH.
