Evelyn (Beer) Scott, 67, of Latrobe, passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2023, at Allegheny General Hospital. Born April 19, 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Gerard and Evelyn (Foley) Beer. Evelyn was a member of Saint Vincent Basilica Parish. For more than 25 years, she had been a massage therapist and was the owner of Massage Therapy by Evelyn Scott. She was an avid sports fan, especially of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and loved trips to the beach. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. "Scotty" Scott; and two brothers, Ted and Greg Beer. Evelyn is survived by one son, Jason W. Scott and his wife, Angela, of Greensburg; two daughters, Melissa L. Scott, of Latrobe, and Shilo C. Scott and her husband, David McDuffie, of Port Orange, Fla.; one brother, Jerry Beer and his wife, Tee, of Florida; two sisters, Barbara Clift, of Florida, and Pat Winner, of Philadelphia; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends; and her fur baby, Cole. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the LOPATICH-BRINKER FUNERAL HOME LLC, 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Saint Vincent Basilica. Interment will follow at Saint Vincent Cemetery.
