Joseph A. Dube

Joseph A. Dube, 93, of Irwin, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025, in Wexford. He was born on Oct. 22, 1931, in New Brunswick, Canada, to the late Johnny and Leda (Pelletier) Dube. In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his first wife, Rollande (Beaupre) Dube; his second wife, Carol (Forbes) Dube; his grandchild, Jonathan Varner (2021); and all his siblings: Anna, Alfred, Levitte, Eva, Leona, Rita, Patrick, Cecille, and Annette. Joseph is survived by his loving children, Norman (Michele) Dube of Grapeville, Janine (Roger) Varner of Baden, and Michael Dube of Maryland. He was a proud grandfather to Melissa, Brian, Alysia, Jason, Morgan, Josh, Teresa, Nicole, Louise, Paul, Connor, and Tyler, six great-grandchildren; and his lady friend, Fran Atherton; also survived by many nieces and nephews. A proud Army Veteran, Joseph honorably served during the Korean Conflict and retired after 20 years of dedicated service. Following his military career, he worked as a machinist for Pittsburgh Brass Inc. and Eat N Park for over 20 years. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 472, Manor, PA. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, going to Eat N Park, and spending time with his family. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin, PA 15642. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 10 a.m., in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Joe O'Brien officiating. Burial will follow at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park. Joseph will be remembered for his dedication to family, country, and hard work. He leaves behind a legacy of love and commitment that will be cherished by all who knew him.
