Joseph Fields Obituary

Colonel Joseph A. Fields, age 77, of Penn Township, died Monday, July 8, 2024, at his home. He was born March 24, 1947, in Baltimore, MD, to the late Robert and Gazella (Uchic) Fields. He was a retired Colonel from the United States Army in the Explosive Ordinance Division. Joseph served his country in active duty for 26 years and was the recipient of two Legion of Merit Awards, four Army Commendation Medals and six Meritorious Service Medals. He was a proud soldier, but his first love was his family and being a devoted husband and loving father. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann D. Fields; and son, Michael J. Fields. Joseph is survived by his daughter, Katherine F. (Timothy) Greco of Penn Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024, at St. Barbara Catholic Church, 111 Raymaley Road, Harrison City, PA, with Father Michael Sikon officiating.
