Madhav Phatak

Madhav "Matt" Phatak, 48, of North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2004, at home. Madhav was a distributor for Pepperidge Farm Inc. for bakery products. Madhav comes from a musical family. He was a son of a famous composer-singer. Madhav himself was known in the Indian (Maharashtrian) community in the Pittsburgh area for singing light music. He is survived by his wife, Achala; two sons Rugwed and Rohit, of North Huntingdon; two brothers, Shrikrishna, of Atlanta, and Mohan, of Philadelphia; and a sister, Shobha, of Nagpur, India. Friends will be received at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main St., Irwin, Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. The cremation ceremony will follow at Gilbert Crematory, Boston, Pa.
