Marilyn P. Sharick

1932 - 2025

Marilyn P. Sharick, 93, of Lower Burrell, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, in her home. She was born in Homestead on Jan. 5, 1932, to the late Raymond A. and Marie Welsh Lawler and had been a resident of Lower Burrell for 66 years since moving from Brackenridge. Mrs. Sharick was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell. She enjoyed volunteering at her church and at Belair Nursing Home and watching Pittsburgh sports with her late husband, but above all else she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Even in her last days, her mind stayed sharp, and she played Wordle and Connections every day. She is survived by her eight children, David (Kathy) Sharick of Allison Park, Eddie Sharick of Allegheny Township, Dianne (John) Pearson of Clayton, NC, Susan (Peter) Sherlock of Scottsdale, AZ, John (Diane) Sharick of Chesnee, SC, Brian (Stacie) Sharick, Mary Jo (Tom) Klebine, and Kathy (Eric) Ciuffoletti, all of Lower Burrell; 31 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren with two more on the way; and daughter-in-law Jennifer Sharick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Sharick, on Dec. 18, 2020; son, Raymond Sharick; and siblings, Raymond, Rita, Thomas, and Richard Lawler. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder St., where Prayers of Transfer will be said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, followed by Christian Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
