Norman Weinstein Obituary

Norman Weinstein, 78, of Greensburg, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015, in Pittsburgh. He was born Aug. 26, 1936, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Isadore "Jack" and Mary (Cohen) Weinstein. Norman was a marketing associate for Jeannette Specialty Glass Co. prior to his retirement. He was past president and board member of the Westmoreland Choral Society and a recipient of the VERA Award. He was also a member and Past Master of Masonic Lodge 762, Pittsburgh. Following his retirement, he worked for Point Security, and was a dedicated Pittsburgh Pirates fan. Norman is survived by his devoted wife, Deborah (Dunlap) Weinstein (daughter of the late Lawrence Dunlap); his mother-in-law, Althea Dunlap; a brother, Alex (Gloria) Weinstein; a sister, JoAnn (Ted) Erter; his brother-in-law, Carlton Mack Dunlap; and several nieces and nephews. Norman's family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, where his funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Dr. Robert McKie officiating. Private entombment will take place in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Westmoreland Choral Society, 246 S. Main St., Greensburg, PA 15601 or a charity of one's choice. Terence L.
