Randall Watson Obituary

Randall Scott Watson, of St. Petersburg, Fla., passed away Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023. He was born June 14, 1959, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Ross Watson and Doris Woodward Watson. Randy lived in West Hempfield and New Stanton before moving to Hagerstown, Md., and later to Florida. He attended Hempfield Area High School. Randy was employed at the Volkswagen assembly plant in New Stanton and later as the owner of Custom Painting Services in Hagerstown. In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his infant brother, Ross Watson; his beloved grandfather, Walter Woodward; of New Stanton; and his ever-faithful canine companion, Putty. Randy is survived by his wife, Laura Watson, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; daughters, Ashley Watson, of Venice, Fla., and Faith Castagner (Phillip), of Canton, Ga.; and his grandchildren, Ross and Emma Castagner. Randy is also survived by his sister, Jan Blair; brothers, Kent and Bradley Watson, all of Greensburg; and his nieces and nephews. Services will be private. The family suggests that donations in Randy's memory be made to your favorite animal rescue organization to honor his lifelong love of animals.
