Sally Pietryga

1933 - 2022

Sally (King) Pietryga, 88, passed away peacefully Friday, Sept. 2, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Frank A. Pietryga; devoted daughter of the late William and Margaret King, of Munhall; loving mother of Frank W. (Jayme) Pietryga; caring grandmother of Brad (Christy), Ryan (Sarah) and Allison (Derrick); proud great-grandmother of Levi Pietryga; dear sister of Dr. William King, Samuel (Trina) King, the late Linda Kosmal and brother-in-law, Reed Kosmal; special cousin of Iris (the late Richard) Johnson and Jack (Diane) Hughes. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and dear friends. Sally was a graduate of Munhall High School, Class of 1951, where she met her late husband, Frank. After graduation, she worked at Mesta Machine Co. and later in life at Dee Jay's Card Shop. She was a faithful member of the Homestead United Presbyterian Church for over 65 years and a longtime member of the Brierly Heights Women's Club. She enjoyed playing 500 with her special card club friends and attending many of the sport and school events of her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, appreciated donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in The R.V. ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 315 E. Tenth Ave., 15120. A funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Friday followed by funeral service at 10 a.m.in the funeral home.
