William Barber Obituary

William E. Barber Jr., 66, of Irwin, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at Independence Health, Westmoreland Hospital. He was born Dec. 29, 1958, in San Antonio, TX, a son of William Barber Sr. and the late Dolores (Lohr) Barber. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Scozio's Shop n' Save. His final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ, tissue, and cornea donation. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Barber; and sister-in-law, Kathy Barber. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Jamie (Pevarnik) Barber of Irwin; a daughter, Jeannette Riccardino of West Virginia; a very special granddaughter, Lillian Dowling of Greensburg; brothers, Alan Barber and wife, Patti, of Greensburg and Earl Barber and wife, Anitta, of Greensburg; sister, Diane Sprung and husband, Butch, of Greensburg; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton St., Greensburg, at which time a funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel, with William Connley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses. www.bachafh.com
