William J. Martinjak

1934 - 2022

William J. Martinjak, 87, of North Huntingdon, passed away at home Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Born April 25, 1934, in McKeesport, he was a son of the late George J. and Anna C. (Tombrosky) Martinjak. An electronics technician for over 20 years with Keleket Medical Equipment, and later a service engineer for GE Medical, William was an Army veteran during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the CFU Lodge #146, the American Legion White Oak Post #701, the Elizabeth Township Senior Citizens, the AARP, and the "Guys and Dolls" Bowling League. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, travelling and HAM Radio, where his call sign was WA3BLW. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his siblings, Rudolph Martinjak and Cecelia "Sis" Medved; and his nephew, David (Linda) Martinjak. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret "Margie" (Stepanik) Martinjak; his sister-in-law, Barbara J. (John) Chasko; his brother-in-law, Edward (Doris) Stepanik; and his niece and nephews, including, Sharon Kura, Mark Martinjak, Alan (Carole) Medved and Emil (Kim) Stepanik, III. Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022, in the DANIEL F. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4504 Walnut St., Versailles Borough, McKeesport, PA 15132, 412-678-3454. A Blessing will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2022 in the funeral home.
