Donald Hogg Obituary

Donald Hamilton "Don" Hogg, 77, of N. Buffalo Township, Worthington, died, Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at the Armstrong County Health Center. He was born Jan. 10, 1931, in N. Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, to Hamilton and Bertha (Bundy) Hogg. Mr. Hogg was of the Protestant faith. He was self-employed as a dairy farmer on the family owned farm for many years. He was a member of the United Dairy Farmers organization. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. He had his private pilot's license and he learned to fly at the McVille Airport. He is survived by his wife, Margaret L. "Peggy" (McAninch) Hogg, whom he married Jan. 12, 1949; three sons, Donald M. Hogg and Mathew Jay Hogg, both of Worthington, and Ray G. Hogg and his wife, Yvonne, of Adrian; one daughter, Donna L. Beranty and her husband, William, of Worthington; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Hogg and his wife, Martha, of R.D.7, Kittanning; and one sister, Irene Gates and her husband, Ira, of Batavia, N.Y. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Clarence, Chuck and James Hogg; and two sisters, Jean Giff and Betty Hammond. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the BAUER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Donald Breghenti. Interment will be at Worthington United Presbyterian Cemetery in Worthington, Armstrong County. To send an online condolence visit www.bauerfuneralhome.com.
