Eric Clark Obituary

Eric L. Clark, 79, of Washington Township, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born Sept. 10, 1944, in New Kensington, and had lived his life in the Washington Township area. He was employed for many years at Alcoa research and development before retiring. He is survived by his wife, Carole Walker Clark; and his son, Shawn Eric Clark, both of Washington Township. Eric was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Klugh; his father, Myron Clark Sr.; and two brothers, Myron Clark Jr. and Barry Clark. He served in the Army during his tour in Germany. He was an avid sportsman and loved hunting and fishing, enjoyed going to mud bog competitions for many years and watching his beloved son participate. He also enjoyed his annual trip to Atlantic City. Eric also enjoyed meticulously decorating his home outside for every holiday season and always kept himself busy. At the request of the family, all services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the DUNMIRE-KERR & ROWE FUNERAL HOME INC., 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift. As a Washington Township student, I remember Eric as a happy-go-lucky guy. He always had a smile and found humor in our "small town" school life and daily classroom routines. I very much appreciate that he served his country and returned to contribute to his community. Rest in peace Eric.

Eric and I had many wonderful conversations at ARL , which seemed to always solve the worlds' problems. He was one of the good guys and I shall miss him.
