Glaphy Moore Obituary

Glaphy J. (Crawford) Moore, 78, of Bell Township, died Friday, June 16, 2006, in West Haven Nursing Home, Washington Township. She was born Aug. 12, 1927, in Chicora to the late Harry and Dora Belle (McElravey) Crawford and lived in Bell Township most of her life. Mrs. Moore was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Vandergrift, a enjoyed crocheting. Also predeceased by her husband, Leland "Red" Moore, who died in December 1988; brothers Donald, Benjamin, Arthur, Russell and Charles Crawford, and sisters Dorothy Lauffer and Margaret Crawford. Mother of Robert (Dale) Moore, of Seffner, Fla.; Leland (Jennie) Moore and Bonnie (Frank) Raspotnik, of Washington Township; Richard (Cris) Moore and Linda (Murray) Thompson, of Allegheny Township; Madeline (Ed) Dobrowolski, of Bell Township, and Cheryl (Robert) Rupert and Mary Lou (Rodger) Emanuelson, of Vandergrift. Sister of Harold (Grace) Crawford, of Fort Worth, Texas. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Phil Gustafson officiating. Burial in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 716 Wallace St., Vandergrift, PA 15690 or the American Diabetes Association, 300 Penn Center Blvd., Suite 602, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
