Henrietta Bragiel Obituary

Henrietta C. (Kaczor) Bragiel, 89, of Allegheny Township, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, in her home at Golden Harvest Farm. Born Jan. 15, 1924, in East Vandergrift, she was a daughter of the late John and Petrunela Kaczor and was a life resident of the local area. She had worked as a salesperson for Montgomery Ward, Grants and Woolworths. Henrietta was a member of Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, and the Polish National Alliance, both of New Kensington. In addition to assisting in the operation of the family business, Golden Harvest Farm, she enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and working in the greenhouse. She is survived by her children, Michael R. Bragiel, Ernest A. (Diane) Bragiel, Edward T. (Jeannette) Bragiel, Wanda Ann (Michael) Thiele, Barbara Jean Bragiel, Sandra Marie (Guy) Spiering; seven grandchildren; a sister, Natalia Trawinski; brother-in-law, Joseph Gonka; sister-in-law, Irene Simko; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Bragiel; a grandson, Gabriel Spiering; and sisters, Virginia Sydlik, Loretta Gonka and Josephine Spelock. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder Street, Lower Burrell, where prayers of transfer will be said at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. A Christian funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Lower Burrell. http://www.RusiewiczFH.com.
