He was a member of the former St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brackenridge and the American Legion Post 48 in Natrona. John enjoyed golfing, bowling and was an avid Steelers and Highlands sports fan. He is survived by his three sisters, Margaret Gaydac, of Lower Burrell, Millie Filo, of Brackenridge, and Wilma Gonzalez, of Natrona Heights; and by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Walter M. Kovac; and sister, Ethel Huet. Due to the current health concerns and recommendations, all services and burial for John will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688.
