Larry Corchia Obituary

Larry D. Corchia, 62, of Arnold, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, at Family Hospice Manor, Pittsburgh. He was born Jan. 30, 1945, in Arnold, the son of the late Peter and Mary (Marello) Corchia. He had worked for Intertek at University Park, Harmarville, as a pilot plant operator for over 12 years. He was proud of his Italian heritage and a very patriotic American. He enjoyed his family, friends, camping and fishing. He was a member of St. Andrew Episcopal Church, New Kensington, and the VFW, Lower Burrell. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Judy (Verner) Corchia; his children, Casey (Martin) Lepovsky, of New Kensington, Carly (Donald Palumbo) Corchia, of Plum, Frank (Lisa) Potts, of Gilpin, Jennifer (Alan) Rosselle, of Apollo, and Kristina (Brian Harris) Potts, of Kentucky; one sister, Linda (Ron) Jackson, of Seminole, Fla.; his mother-in-law, Rose Gorleski, of Murrysville; and nine grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the GIUNTA-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME INC., family-owned and -operated for over 60 years, 1509 Fifth Ave., Arnold, PA 15068. Additional viewing will be held from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at St Andrew Episcopal Church. Interment will be at Plum Creek Cemetery, Plum Borough. Donations can be made to St. Andrew Episcopal Church, 1090 Edgewood Road, New Kensington, PA 15068 or to Pancreatic Research, 2160 Greentree Road, #611 West, Pittsburgh, PA 15220
