Marjorie M. (Young) Baker, 86, formerly of Spring Church, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024, in Brookdale Personal Care Home, Latrobe. Born in Leechburg, she was a daughter of Clyde Young and Reatha (Stitt) Young. Marjorie was a 1956 graduate of Washington Township High School and worked in customer service for Apollo Trust Company. She was a member of Boiling Springs Presbyterian Church and was active as a deacon, treasurer, and member of the church's Women's Group. Marjorie enjoyed camping with her late husband, Bob, including eleven years as a Campground Host at Keystone State Park. She most loved being with her family. In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. 'Bob' Baker, who passed away in Aug. of 2021; and her son-in-law, John Stercho. Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Sheryl (Dan) Dunlap of Derry and Pam (David) Minesky of Goodyear, AZ; granddaughters, Sheena (Tyler) Sledge of Derry and Stephanie (Shawn) Kelley of Noblesville, IN; great-grandchildren, Logan and Sophia; brother, Ed Young of ND; sisters, Connie (Herb) Parisi of FL, Janet (Mark) Bradley of Latrobe, and Shirley (Brian) Musick of Latrobe; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, in the CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, Nov. 4, 2024, in the Boiling Springs Presbyterian Church, 1668 PA Route 56, Spring Church, with Reverend Gary Lyon officiating. Everyone please meet at the church. Private interment in Pleasant View Cemetery, Leechburg, at the convenience of the family.
